Model Home Build Competition

Model Home Build! 

Habitat of Greater Moses Lake is introducing students to the organization’s mission by challenging students to build a 3D model home that is practical and innovative. Students can enter the competition as an individual or a team. On the contest day, participants will present their creations for evaluation by local professionals, local sponsors, and members of the community.

Guidelines

  • Any 6th through 8th grade students from Grant County.

  • Model homes can be made of any non-hazardous materials.

  • Students can enter individually, or team up in groups of 2, 3 or 4. No more than 4 students per team.

  • Model homes should be no larger than 20” x 20” x 20”.

  • Each contestant (or team) must complete a registration form.

  • Judging will be determined by a panel of local professionals, the students and parents/families present.

  • Students must be prepared to speak briefly about what makes their model home unique.
